Adjustments, fairness and accountability

10 minute group activity

Read the scenario, then discuss it in your breakout room. The facilitator will start the timer.

Scenario

Sam disclosed being autistic and explained that interruptions and unclear instructions were affecting accuracy at work.

The manager agreed noise-cancelling headphones and one day working from home.

Four weeks later, errors continue.

A colleague says, “We're making all these changes, but the rest of us still have to check the work.”

Sam says, “The headphones help me concentrate, but I still get different instructions from different people.”

The manager is under pressure to improve accuracy and colleagues are questioning whether the adjustments are fair.

You are the manager. What do you do next?
